48 Hours In Paris With Coral Chung

by Heather Chadwell-Aminzadeh / Jul 25, 2024
Our founder Coral Chung is no stranger to visiting glamorous cities the world over, but there is something about Paris that keeps her coming back for more. Maybe it’s the endless wardrobe inspiration, courtesy of the inherently stylish women who live there, or the sense that old-school romance really is in the air. Here, she shares her favorite looks after a whirlwind 48-hour trip, plus her top picks for experiencing the City of Love at its very best.

Eat/Drink:

Bistrot Paul Bert
My go-to for a traditional French meal. Think seasonal white asparagus and the Côte de Boeuf, served medium-rare only with the most perfect French fries.
    Clamato
Sister restaurant to the lauded bistro Septime,A Clamato is an amazing no-reservations seafood spot where a fashionable crowd shares plates shoulder-to-shoulder.
      Du Pain et des Idées
For traditional French pastries & signature "pain des amis" bread in an 1875 shop with painted ceilings .Make sure to pick up a snail! (don’t worry, it’s a patisserie!)
        Frenchie Bar à Vins
Seats are hard to get at this no-reservations wine bar because the small plates and wine list are incredible. Amazing place for people watching those chic Parisiennes.
Cheval Blanc Tout le Paris terrace at the Cheval Blanc Hotel
A panoramic view of Paris’ most beautiful landmarks including the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame
            Atelier Joel Robuchon
The best spot for late night eats. I think the kitchen even closes at 11:30!
              Bertillon
The best ever for ice cream and sorbet, inside a quaint wood paneled shop.

                See:

                Paris Opera Ballet
A must-see. The oldest national ballet company, and many European and international ballet companies can trace their origins to it.
                  Musée de l'Orangerie
My favorite for a relaxed museum visit. There are benches in front of each painting so you can take in Monet and rest your feet. It is located in the west corner of the Tuileries Garden.

A beautiful old-world apothecary where you can shop for unique botanical-based creams, powders, essential oils, and perfumes.
                        Le Bon Marché
Paris’s oldest and most iconic department store. Need I say more?
