We are honoring International Women’s Month by celebrating the resilience and power of women. As part of our SENREVE Supernova Scarf launch, we asked our Selected by SENREVE female founder community to share their “Supernova Moment”, the key moment in their entrepreneurial journey that changed the game. Read more about their stories below.
Through the end of March, 50% of proceeds from the SENREVE Supernova Scarf will go towards supporting Global Fund for Women.
Nicole Chau, Founder of La Luer
My Supernova moment was launching our brand at CES in 2019 alongside global tech superpowers. The dream I fought so hard for, the vision I relentlessly worked towards, finally became tangible reality before my eyes. Every woman deserves to feel beautiful in their own skin. Seeing the look of confidence on women’s faces after a La Luer demo was priceless for me. It fueled my mission. I was going to be unstoppable, because I was fighting not only for La Luer, but for countless women. LA LUER means light in French, and MIRA, to see in Spanish. We want women to see the light and beauty within themselves without the layers of makeup.
Experience the skincare revolution with La Luer MIRA, made to tackle your fine lines and stubborn skin concerns.
JJ Matchett, Founder & Creative Director of MACHETE
My Supernova moment was when I put my first trial batch of remade jewelry (from vintage pieces) online and they sold out within 48 hours. I realized how huge this opportunity could be and that’s what started everything we do here today.

Li Ming Geh, Founder of Li Organics
My Supernova moment can hardly be described as one spark of a moment, but really a multitude of events and personal challenges- years of struggling with my own wildly sensitive skin and constantly searching for answers and remedies for it. And then, years of formulating my own skincare because ultimately it was the only thing that seemed to work. Finally, coming full circle to realize that this whole experience was so much more than just about me, but perhaps other women out there too who struggled with their skin; realizing that Li Organics absolutely had to be born to nourish, heal, and transform not just skin, but hopefully lives too.

Alexandra Fine, CEO & Co-Founder of Dame Products
My Supernova moment was when I tried my very first prototype from Dame Products. It worked really well and created a very pleasurable sensation inside of me. It was definitely a powerful moment where I realized the potential of what I was creating.

Therese Clark, CEO & Founder of LADYSUITE
My Supernova moment happened when one of our first accounts in the medical channel reached out to tell me that our Rejuvenating Botanical Oil literally eradicated a chronic vulva rash that their patient had been suffering with for two years. She had been prescribed topical steroids over the years, but they only worked short term. This was amazing validation from our esteemed medical account owned by a board certified physician. It’s stories like these that continue to motivate me, especially when things get hard.

Sharon Lee, Founder of Krane Home
My Supernova moment was when I decided to exit 12 multi-line showrooms to pursue a DTC model for @kranehome right before COVID. It was a huge risk but even in the pandemic, we successfully grew sales significantly, and our risk paid off. As an artist entrepreneur with no formal business training (and juggling two toddlers!), it is my proudest achievement.

Anna Rabinowicz, Founder & CEO of ANNA NEW YORK
As an entrepreneur, my journey has been less than a single “Supernova Moment” and more a series of epiphanies about how consumer’s need for beautiful, functional objects in their homes that connect them to nature could be addressed with the creation of a company, and objects, which elevate nature through design. With each epiphany, whether it was a sudden comprehension of how to re-frame a manufacturing process or material in order to create an unexpected result, or a realization about the way that our lives at home have fundamentally shifted during the pandemic – it has been followed by an intense period of hard work to translate that epiphany into new designs. Manufacturers are known for saying “no” to designs that are out of their scope of expertise – and I am known for using my knowledge of both design and engineering, and my persuasiveness, to create solutions that help to move them to “yes” – so we can create a truly innovative product. Being a woman adds an extra layer of challenge in those situations, but I have always found that being in the minority can be a position of strength.
Our Espera Sea Fan Fruit bowl exemplified that process – it took 3 years, multiple trials with different manufacturers and artists – and a fervent belief that a solid stainless steel bowl, with 4552 unique openings which mimic the growth of the sea fan – is an object that needed to exist in this world.
